The staff here is amazing and really expert in what they do. I had no idea that coffee could taste this incredible! I highly recommend trying their single origin coffees, and don’t miss out on the cherry pie. It’s an ideal place to visit before your 8:30 lectures. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Planet Bean:
I often visit this café because the coffee is outstanding. However, during my last four to five visits, I've encountered notably poor service. The staff members were neither welcoming nor friendly, which was quite disappointing and led me to write this review. Moreover, charging over $5 for iced coffee feels unjustified considering the small size they serve. If the portion were larger, I might be more lenient. View all feedback.
The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with attentive staff. The team is very knowledgeable about their products, and the baristas are skilled and friendly.
My next stop on the Guelph cafe tour was Planet Bean Coffee. This chain has enjoyed significant success in Guelph, with multiple locations, so I was eager to check it out. Here are the details: this location has seating for about 50 people, offers electrical outlets, and provides WiFi that tested at 46/29 (which is pretty good for Guelph). The space is quite roomy, featuring around 7 tables for four. The coffee served is Fairtrade, organic, and roasted by Planet Bean itself. However, I found the espresso to be a bit too bitter for my taste. The carrot cake, on the other hand, was excellent. The service was decent, but the decor has a somewhat outdated 90s vibe. Overall, I would rate it a 3.5. I appreciate the layout and support their commitment to Fairtrade and organic products, so I will definitely be returning!
This café serves excellent coffee made from fair trade beans, prepared by friendly staff in a convenient location. It's an ideal spot to get some work done. They offer tasty snacks, especially their nut bars and sourdough cinnamon rolls, and they also sell beans and brewing accessories.
Really fantastic service! I ordered the cascara but they were out of soda water so they offered me tonic water however it was extremely bitter for me but they were very kind in giving me a token for a free drink as well as remade it with lemonade to make it taste great.
In my opinion, this is the only place in town worth going for a latte or an americano. They give a **** about the product they put across the counter, and what's more, they know what they're doing. They roast their own beans and sell a great variety in the store as well. Prices are excellent, coffee is delicious (if you sit in, you get a free refill! , employees are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm (complete with WiFi . They also do latte art! They made one with a heart in it for me to surprise my boyfriend with : If you like coffee and live in Guelph, there's really no excuse for not having been here yet.
