I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a cold mocha frappe, and both were delicious!
To my disappointment, when I took a bite of my waffle at my destination, I discovered it was undercooked. The texture was far from what one would expect from a properly made waffle, and as someone with stomach issues, I felt compelled to toss the entire thing in the trash. After encountering such a poorly cooked waffle, I honestly didn't trust anything else in the box. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, as the café had a lovely atmosphere and the staff was friendly! However, I feel it's important to raise this concern because serving undercooked food is a serious health risk. I'm quite disappointed with the overall quality, and later in the day, I found myself more satisfied with a bagel from Tim Hortons. I’m giving a two-star rating solely because of the good service and the fact that the rest of the fruit was acceptable in taste and appearance. It’s frustrating to feel like I wasted both food and money, especially with a health risk involved.
Skip the chain cafes and head to this gem instead! Everything here is fantastic. The ambiance is adorable, with a lovely atmosphere both inside and on the patio. I've sampled nearly all the desserts, and my favorites include the ricotta slice, Hello Dolly, tiramisu, and baklava—each one delicious! I'm also a fan of their bagel with cream cheese (I believe it's a cheddar jalapeño bagel), the sunrise bagel breakfast sandwich, and the strawberry waffle. And they make the absolute best London Fog! I haven't tried their other sandwiches or pasta yet, but they sound equally tempting. The owners are a wonderful couple who are genuinely kind, and you can tell that everything is made with care and attention. I highly recommend this place! Plus, it's conveniently located across from CareWell, an excellent clinic for physiotherapy and chiropractic care—I left them a review here as well!
The Americanos lacked strength and were over-creamed. The Muffin and Hello Dolly were both over-sweet for our liking.
