As we were visiting Rome, we stayed in Grottaferrata. We were looking for a restaurant outside tourist areas and with traditional Italian food. As we knew it would be outside the town we had to enter the destination in our Navigation system. The restaurant only has a small sign next to the road. But due to the fact it is in the countryside. The sign is clearly visible. The decoration is very basic, the food is without frills but has a wonderful taste. The staff is extremely friendly. Knowledge of english is very limited, but they compensate with their effort to help. Great price performance ratio !

Local, genuine Roman style food. The selection by the time we went was not that large, but after all COVID first and winter later are not a great working couple. Three stars are due to the remote location, which doesn't make the place that accessible and the fact the dining room was almost a freezer despite me having booked ahead of time.

We happened by chance at this place and we were kindly asked by a very nice girl who, after the various controls, green passes, made us sit in the club. Vera osteria, simple and spartan. We welcome and order the first classic dishes of the second and sweet. The first, we were three and therefore all different, all perfectly to the tooth and all excellent : carbonara, papardella with wild boar sauce and fettuccine with peas sausage and quanciale. Seconds, same level: triple to the Roman, lombata and sausages with fried potatoes. The top: tiramisu. ..very exceptional! I have never tasted a tiramisu of this level in a local and rarely in pastries even very blasoned. all in abundant portions. The owner offered us coffee and bitter all over the world we spent on the head calculating also water, coca-cola and I forgot the outlines beans and fries. so much to those who want simple local and house with great food. Unseen for those looking for portions, sommeliers and dishes out of atypical menu.
