I was brought to this place by some friends who had told me that this restaurant served not only very high quality and delicious food, but it also had one of th... read more I was brought to this place by some friends who had told me that this restaurant served not only very high quality and delicious food, but it also had one of the most unusual restaurant scene ever. I've seen tons of restaurants all over the world and I can still be impressed by the food, but I was skeptical about the restaurant scene. However, this restaurant exceeded both. Food was a mix of reinterpretation of Roman classical food and some very well done and thought experiments. The tasting menu was a blast and I still don't believe that I paid that little. The zucchini flowers with ricotta were simple, but reminded me my grandma's cuisine. The fried prawn cover by special crumble bread and with strawberry and lemon sauce were my favorite appetizer. Cacio, pepe and lime was what a consider a very well thought and done experiment. The swordfish was the least surprising, but the small peppers used to be made by my grandma, so again emotional impact. And lastly a chocolate mouse, with chocolate crumble, lime liquorice, chocolate whisk and olive oil. Does it sound a bit crazy and messy? It was so balanced, that I was asking for another portion. In addition, everything was paired with a good wine: prosecco, a local white blend and a South African rose. One more thing I have to say is about the staff: they are awesome. They look happy to work there, they treated us as their friends and they were never late to bring food or to come after our request. The last thing about the restaurant scene: what you see one day, won't probably be there the next time. Everything is on sale and as soon as it is sold, it will be replaced by something else with the same function. So, you think of going to eat something, and you come back home with a new chair and a table. Just crazy, eh?
