At the beginning it seemed that this was a marvelo... read more We’ve got great references for this place. But our experience with Fiumara turned out to be a total disaster. At the beginning it seemed that this was a marvelous and very romantic place. We arrived with a gang of hungry kids though and wanted to get them food first. No, we had to wait as the chef was taking a shower. Once he washed himself we were allowed to make an order. Of course, for the kids first. But after 4 calls of a waiter we still have not received the food we asked. Two kids left the restaurant after 3 hours with no food at all. When we pointed this out to the owner he said that food has been served, we should not tell him what to do as “this is his home”. On top of this shortchanged. When we pointed to 50 ! euros difference we got the check corrected without any apologies. About the food we’ve managed to get. The quality is very unstable. Fantastic octopus and totally inedible bacala for example. Never again.

Brain damaged waiters (at least three of them came up, confused the order, didn’t fix the mistakes, didn’t take used dishes away) 4. The check was noticeably wrong, when spotted was corrected though without any apologies 5. Kids unfriendly
