I first reviewed this restaurant 5 years ago, in 2011, and every year since then we have been coming back almost weekly during the summer for the specially priced business lunch. It has changed: now the price is 22 francs for the main course, and you can add salad, soup, and dessert for an extra 5 francs each. But though the price has risen, so has the quantity of food in each course. The food is truly gourmet, and best of all are the surroundings. On lovely days we can eat on the shaded terrace in the garden with a fountain, and in the background a small "barn" with an almost live cow peeking out. In cold or inclement weather, the lunch is served in a cosy Swiss alcove.Friday is fish day, and we especially like the weeks when there is salmon. The menu changes daily and is listed on a blackboard at the entrance but we get it on line at the beginning of the week. We bring visitors here for lunch and they are always entranced. So if you want a treat in the middle of the day, walk down past all the cafes and restaurants on the main street and past the station, and to your right you will find the Schweitzerhof with its charming garden. And the two rather unwelcoming women are no longer there. Staff is excellent!
