We were happy to have a dinner at the Adlerstube restaurant. Although we came without reservation at a peak hour, we were lucky to get a table thanks to the restaurant host. We didn't have to wait long, the staff were attentive and helpful. The food was very tasty, the serving size was quite sufficient. What Rosa Scheidegger doesn't like about Adlerstube:
we had the worst experience when we went to the seating area. One of the restaurant servers has race behavior. We asked to speak for the person responsible, and the staff always said he was obviously in a meeting to cover for their staff. The atmosphere was terrible. View all feedback.
We came over to eat with friends and had high hopes regarding this restaurant. Rarely have I a bigger let down than what We experienced tonight. First they let us wait at the door for minutes, then they told us to wait 10 minutes in the lobby until we will have a table for 4. This never happened. We waited and then suddenly the manager came with a very unpolite attitude pointing at his watch stating that we did not come to the table at 9. Which table? Why should we inspect the place if it is free. Isn’t it the job for the waitress to let us know when we can come? Horrible service, disgraceful attitude, do not spend any money here. You are better off losing it.
Chateau briand was delicious as were the side dishes rösti and fries. Staff was super friendly and positive and we had a fab time.
We enjoyed an excellent dinner here. Everything was delicious, from the pesto, olive oil and butter served with bread to our meals. The restaurant is unique as it serves meat on hot stones so you cook them to your desired doneness. I had the chicken and it was delicious. It comes with side dishes and sauce, so it was very hearty and I did not have room for dessert. My mom loved her fish dish and my sister really liked her roasted potatoes with spinach and Bleu cheese. We all agreed this was our best meal in Switzerland. Highly recommend.
As welcome they serve fresh bread with a olive oil, pesto and butter selection. As main plate, I took truffles risotto with asparagus and Swiss cheese. It was delicious! Good wine selection as well, even if I took a glass only. Nice desserts, the ice creams with different liquors looked interesting but I opted for a classic chocolate mousse which was very good. Next time I will try the stone plates which looked very inviting.
Wir haben sponatn im Aussenbereich der Adlerstube platzgenommen und wurden drt seht freundlich bedient. Der Vorspeisensalt war ausgezeichnet, frisch, knackig. Die Hauptspeise war gut, mit einer kleinen Einschränkung: die Kalbsleber war wahrscheinlich nicht frisch sondern gefroren, daruf schliessen lässt die Konsistenz. Insgesamt war das essen aber gut. Der Presi scheint aber für die gebotene Qualität and der oberen Grenze zu liegen.
