We visited Grimentz for the day, hoped this restaurant would not have changed and it hasn't. It was lunchtime so we sat outside and appreciated the beautiful surroundings, including the geraniums. This is surely everybody's idea of what a Swiss village looks like. The food was typical for a Swiss café but it was presented with flair. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Grimentz village itself is car-fre... View all feedback.

My husband and I are sitting in this restaurant having arrived 75 minutes ago and are still waiting for our food. We have drunk a bottle of wine and some water, eaten a few salad leaves and my husband some bread. Sadly I am gluten free and can't. We had a good lunch thankfully. What is going on?.......Tables beside us have eaten....It is now 90 minutes since we put our order in and still no food....We have nowhere els... View all feedback.
We ate cheese fondue, in the beginning it was OK, halfway the cheese started to work like Caoutchouc something! We asked for suggestions, they answered: "We can try to revise it '. Instead, we wanted to get another dish, a plate, and that we would pay for the price difference. They answered that it was not an option. We asked about the origin of beef: South America, Swiss cows are not possible.... After waiting long before the second waiter came back to get our choice, I went in to talk to the owner, first he didn't feel like coming to us. A madam, who apparently belonged to the restaurant, said she didn't serve. Then the owner gave his word that a new part should be cooked, but the result was worse than the first. The Madame came out as we were on the terrace, proves to us that the second part was freshly made, in us the first pot shown, her ton was not friendly. As an explanation she said that it usually works well with cheese fondue, but the fact that the outside air temperature was around 8 celsius would be the reason for the chewing gum fondue. We left it as it was, we asked to pay only a part, but she refused, she offered us tea and digestion. We informed the waiter that we wanted to post a comment on travel advisers and that we would also inform Wallis Swiss Tourismusbüro.
Absolutely incredible! I'll never forget this meal! Beautiful presentation and amazing aromas, wonderful and clever use of the flower fauna, this place is a very well maintained secret. Finishes perfectly with stunning scenery. Definitely worth the trip!
We were invited by friends this week to this very special restaurant. Warmly received and served...excellent wine and beef. A great evening had by all.
Took the most harrowing ride up to Grimentz but adorable little village and beautiful scenery. Stopped here for lunch, and we are outside with a pretty view of the mountains and cable car in the distance. We had the fondue which was good and 2...of the lunch specials of lasagne. As my husband commented, it was pretty good though not on par when I make it. The restaurant was fairly expensive for such a off-the-beaten-path place but we had come to expect that in Switzerland. The service was not good and I don't know if that was because we were pegged as Americans even though I tried to use my limited French. We were ignored repeatedly and at those prices I expected more
Excellent and creative cuisine with quality products. Chalet atmosphere as it should be in a mountain resort. Attentive and diligent personel. a big congratulations to the chef.
