Zambrero Manuka - Griffith

At times, the food from this restaurant is fantastic, while other times it is disappointing. On some occasions, the meat is cold and the portion sizes are tiny, but there are also times when the food is perfectly cooked and comes in a satisfying portion.

We had just got to Canberra and stumbled across zambrero for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious but the service was impeccable. The two young gentlemen who were working were so lovely and they also offered some places that were nice to sight see. When we are back in Canberra we will definitely be back!

There was three staffs on, and one small family plus myself in the cue. Yet it took three of them to serve that one family, while I waited for 15mins to be served. The girl who finally served me, didn't even apologize or seem a little apologetic for the wait. If you're in manuka, I'd suggest to check out other restaurants and fast food stores with good costumes service qnd equally good food.

Needed a quick and cheap meal and found this place. The girl serving was very helpful and bubbly and helped us with our order with explanations of the menu. The food was great too.

I appreciate being able to customize my meal with the specific ingredients I want. However, I was disappointed that the meat in my dish appeared as just a mashed up brown substance, as it was not on display like the salad. The amount of meat (brown goo, as I called it) in the powerbowl varied greatly between my two visits. The bowl itself was not ideal for eating out of, as the contents tended to spill over the edges. Additionally, I was concerned about the cleanliness of the tables, as I never saw them being wiped down. The staff were efficient, but lacked friendliness and warmth in their service. Despite my love for Mexican food, I may choose to dine elsewhere in the future if given the option.
