**Restaurant Review: A Canberra Staple**
Renowned for its authentic Malaysian and Asian cuisine, this long-standing Canberra establishment delights patrons with its vibrant atmosphere and reasonable prices. While a favorite among friends and casual diners, recent experiences reveal a mixed bag regarding food quality and service. Diners praise fresh, flavorful dishes like satay chicken and lamb ribs but express disappointment with certain specials, citing blandness and excessive greasiness. Service, though friendly at times, can be hit-or-miss—with reports of rudeness and order mix-ups. Overall, this restaurant remains a solid choice for those seeking diverse options in a lively setting, despite some inconsistent experiences.

Delicious Malaysian dishes. We had a beautiful Nasi goreng, Penang style char kway teow with juicy prawns and flavoursome curries. The prawn toast for entree was a highlight! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Food was really nice. Lady serving was outright rude. Brought the wrong food and then told us we had ordered something we would never eat. Insisted we were wrong and that we had ordered it. Then wanted us to tell here what we had ordered to prove that we had not ordered it. Then just dumped everything on our table when our food was ready because she was obviously annoyed. When i went to pay she said what do you want now? Was tempted to walk off without paying due to her attitude but the food was really nice.
We visited for a family dinner and ordered duck spring rolls, but the filling was stale and had an obvious unpleasant odor. Even after returning the dish, we were asked to pay for it. We also ordered sizzling Belakan prawns, which were not fresh and had a gluey texture. The waitstaff were very rude; instead of being courteous, they behaved in an uncivilized manner, even slamming the plate of fried rice when serving it. We requested to have eggs omitted from the vegetarian sizzling plate due to dietary restrictions, and were told there could be no customization in the future. My wife, who is pregnant, was looking forward to this dinner but was left disappointed. We will not be returning to this restaurant, and we plan to share our experience with friends and family. P.S. I had to give it one star because Google wouldn’t allow me to submit a review without at least one star.
