Yum! This restaurant is a hidden gem with amazing flavors. It is BYO, but there is a Local Liquor store a few doors down, so no problem there.

Every dish we tried was exceptional, especially the Penang curry and the seafood dishes. The chefs are willing to accommodate special requests for your favorite dishes, even if they are not on the menu. Located in Griffith shops, Soi 8 may be a bit out of the way, but it is definitely worth the effort. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Thai dining experience. Well done Soi 8!

Amazing. Love Thai but there is a 'sameness ' to the Thai food on the South side of Canberra. It doesnt have a freshness to it that you get in Sydney;s good Thai restaurants. Went to Soi for a birthday dinner I was very pleasantly surprised. The food is AWESOME. The entree tofu is delicious, the angel prawns are pretty special too. There was about 12 of us and we all tasted each other 's dishes and they were all delicious. The Mussaman curry has a depth to it that I haven 't tasted before. My only negative was the heat of the green chicken curry. It was for a child, now his curries hotter than anyone I know but not one of the adults could even cope with the amount chilli! As they knew it was for a child, I would have liked it a little less crazy hot. The fried ice cream was a huge hit and some of the crowd had been to Soi before and had fantasied about the fried ice cream for months. Will go again for sure. Actually, taking some friends next week...
