I came here for a tasting at the recommendation of my airbnb host, and I was not disappointed. There were several options for tasting flights, but I chose one that consisted of a brunello, a gran selezione chianti, and a bolgheri wine. I was familiar with the first 2 producers but I had never heard of the last one, which turned out to be my favorite. The shop owner, Marco, was very knowledeanle about the wines and th... What a cool experience! Marco, the shop's creator and main manager there is a very knowledgeable and hospitable person. A little off the main piazza, Wine Lovers Academy offers multiple flight options, wine classes, lunch, and most of all, relaxation. Since I was traveling solo this day, I was hesitant to try a wine tasting alone, since I thought it would be boring, but not with Marco around! He made everyone who stopped in feel like they were popping into their house for a glass of wine. Perhaps my favorite part of the experience was how unique my tasting was. He carefully chooses the wines based on your preferences, so you have the chance to try different things that you are more apt to like, unlike most tastings, where everything is pre set. Marco has also designed this very cool wine game that is great for small to medium sized groups a twist on the normal tastings in the area. Looks like TONS of fun. Oh. And, if you get a chance to stop by, make sure to say hello to the groundhog family that lives behind the academy in the stream. Be sure to stop by! A fun time is waiting for you at Wine Lovers!

If you are in Greve and want to experience a really delightful and truly educational wine tasting/food pairing, you owe it to yourself to visit Marco at the Wine Lover’s Academy. He is a breath of fresh air NOT pretentious but so knowledgeable. His joy and passion in his vocation shine through; he is not just going through the motions but cares about giving his visitors a great experience. Marco took the time to help us choose some wines to ship home and for gifts (wines which are not available at home) letting us taste so he could find exactly what we would like. I and my friends thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Wine Lover’s Academy. We look forward to going back the next time we are in Greve and can highly recommend it without hesitation.
My wife and I popped in here during our stay in Greve. We ordered a bottle of wine and Drank it outside overlooking the small river. The owner talked to us about the history of the region for a good 5 minutes. He was incredibly welcoming and we had a very positive experience.
What a special evening, great food, wines and education on everything related to wine. Marco is extremely knowledgeable and could not be more friendly and helpful. Sat on his terrace overlooking the creek, quiet and shaded. We came back again the next day for lesson #2. Thank u Marco for making our time in Greve so meaningful. We wish u all the best in your new endeavor!
