Was James Hawk at Rotunda Cafe a mag?
The atmosphere here is really relaxed, and the energy is great. I've come to enjoy this stylish yet hip morning spot that has a positive vibe. I appreciate the partnership between Chip and Mel. The rotunda offers an amazing experience for anyone who loves audio quality, in my opinion. Cheers! View all feedback.
What Anonymous dislikes about Rotunda Cafe:
This is a great place for getting work done, but the change in ownership and the limited food options (mostly packaged snacks) have affected its reputation. It’s no longer a casual spot for breakfast or lunch meetings, unless you really enjoy the ambiance, which is mostly reminiscent of a bank. View all feedback.
They don't really have food anymore, although they do have snacks, like nuts, chips and oatmeal. But if you're looking for a place to get some work done and you want a nice coffee drink or two while you do it, this is a great spot. They have big, wide tables, actually comfortable chairs for working, electrical outlets by the walls, clean, attractive rest rooms, smaller rooms off to the side that you can reserve (or, if nobody else has reserved, just hang out in if you need auditory privacy), and it's sunny and beautiful. It's a big enough space that if you need to bring in your own food or sandwich, it's not awkward--I've done that, and for now while they're not serving food, the barista was fine with it. I wish they were open a little later, and on Sundays! You can generally stay in the space after the coffee shop closes, until the bank area in the back closes--usually until 5.Dietary restrictions: They have packets of nuts, if you're gluten free.Parking: When the church next door isn't holding services, people often park in their lot.
Batista was rude, pushy, yet aloof. Placed order, took 20 minutes. Guy spent most of the time talking with a lady. Not sure if they ordered anything. Their for a
Excellent food and coffee, and the entire space is a huge win for the community.Vegetarian options: They serve peleminis here!
This place is the BEST! Their coffee is great, it's super affordable, and they also have delicious food. I recommend getting the breakfast melt with bacon and adding pesto. It's a HUGE sandwich and so yummy! Not to mention they also serve Paul's Pelmeni and you can also buy frozen orders to take home to cook yourself here. A great option if you don't feel like venturing down to the State Street area, but you find yourself in need of dumplings! Today my fiancé got a dirty chai which he said was delicious, and I got an iced lavender latte. We are splitting the breakfast melt because like I said, it's huge! We got two drinks and the sandwich for under $20. I believe it's the owner who works the counter. He is always super friendly and his staff all seem like they're in a good mood and make a good team. Plus, this space is beautiful and there are a ton of different seating options- from high top tables, to individual rooms, tables good for spreading out and studying, and comfy chairs as well. Definitely give this place a try. For how great it is, it should be constantly hustling and bustling.
