Reviews - Sushi Ville
Reviews summary
This sushi restaurant offers a unique conveyor belt dining experience that delights many patrons with its entertainment value and accessibility. While the atmosphere is inviting, service inconsistencies have left some guests frustrated. A few diners noted issues with seating and unhelpful staff, but others praised the friendly team and excellent service. Menu highlights include flavorful VIP sashimi and enjoyable specialty rolls, though caution is advised regarding fish freshness and plate pricing. Overall, it's a crowd-pleaser for casual sushi lovers, especially for those looking for quick and convenient meals, but vigilance is recommended to avoid billing surprises.

This was my first experience with conveyor belt sushi, and what a brilliant concept! I couldn't help but be entertained. The service was attentive, and the VIP sashimi was fantastic. The tuna wasn't quite right tonight, but everything else was excellent. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the artwork is definitely worth checking out—make sure to look up! View all feedback.
What Bryan L dislikes about Sushi Ville:
Decent if you know what to stick to (if it would work on a sandwich, it's usually safe AKA tuna salad, crab stick or salad, avocado The rice is usually dense from being too wet or overhandled. Either way, I would never get raw fish here. The mackerel/saba was chewy, smelly and freezer-burnt. The salmon doesn't have much flavor and the cuts are skimpy (and it was $3.25+ for the plate! . First time coming here and it’ll def be my new spot! Everyone is so nice and friendly they actually greet you and ask how you are. The sushi I really good and they have so many good options! I also got so lucky and for some reason a random woman paid for my plates? thank you if you see this! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We live super close to our favorite go-to sushi place; Sushiville. The food is always delicious, and the service is usually pretty good as well. Cool painting on the ceiling, I would always dream of being on of the mermaids up there... Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Good Avacado rolls and Cucumber rolls. Those are vegetarian, right?
Best sushi around for the price! Hand down I'm coming back here over a lot of the other sushi options. I'm picky with my sushi I've been eating for almost 30 years. So yes this place is well worth it. I agree with the other reviews the new owner is doing a great job and the employees are well trained. The chicken skewers are delicious, miso soup was generous, simple Cali roll but well done and not too small. The cucumber salad has a good vinegar and I like the seafood on top! Sushi Train! I absolutely loved it. I went for lunch and it wasn't too crowded. The food was fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh options available, and they even had gluten-free soy sauce. I would definitely go back. Plus, the walls weren't covered in neon lights or TVs, which was a nice touch.
The sushi here is, at best, just acceptable. However, the prices are significantly higher than those at other sushi restaurants with conveyor belts, and the quality doesn’t seem to match up. If the ingredients were of better quality or the prices were lower, I would likely visit more often. But given the superior options available nearby, this isn’t my first choice. On the positive side, they do have a wide selection of dishes, the service is quick and friendly, the restrooms are clean, and there is plenty of seating available.

What I love most about this restaurant is the convenience; you can walk in, sit down, and start eating right away without waiting to place an order. If you're short on time, like just half an hour for lunch, you can enjoy a satisfying meal and be on your way in no time. They also offer a menu with additional entrees, sashimi, and drinks. Just a quick tip: once you pick up a plate, it’s yours, so avoid the mistake of trying to return items to the conveyor belt.

Consistently excellent sushi and service! The staff is incredibly friendly and even takes the time to chat with my 4-year-old son, who absolutely loves the sticky rice!
I moved Downtown a month ago but this was my go-to restaurant for sushi when I lived in Troutdale so I gotta give them 5 stars. It wasn't the freshest or most delicious, but the conveyor belt made it easy to choose and stuff yourself lol. Jalapeno peppers were bomb too

Oh how I miss thee. This place if crazy awesome. I've considered driving from the coast just to eat here.Food: 5/5

I stopped in at 820 pm and they said that they can only do togo orders. They don't close till 9pm. Very disappointing. It's ok, idiosyncrasies the food is very fishy anyway.Food: 1/5
As for vegetarian options, there are plenty of rolls available that don't contain fish!
Food tastes good, staff friendly. However, I would like to warn others. A man left without paying after staring at us while eating. The waitress took his plates, added them to ours, and charged us gratuity for the whole meal. She said they were not being included, only being moved over.30 plates at $3.25 (pink) would be almost $100. We had mostly blue, green, and orange plates, which are cheaper. That and 1 soda was $120.Might have been a horrible mistake, but what can you do when you are checking out and the plates are moved around?
