However, after two weeks of French and Spanish food, we ventured for dinner... read more We are Italians and usually never eat at Italian restaurants when traveling abroad. However, after two weeks of French and Spanish food, we ventured for dinner here. The place is quite small, just a handful of tables, and this is already a good sign. We are greeted by a very gentle French girl offering to speak Italian to us. Her Italian is very good and we enjoy talking to her. The menu is not too rich, another good sign in my opinion, and she explains it to us very well. We chose tuna tartare, mozzarella (quite good) and ham, rigatoni all'anduja and saltimbocca alla romana. The rigatoni were home made and quite good, although a bit too oily (but this happens often in Italy too). The saltimbocca were not true to the original recipe because it was a single slab of meat instead of several small chunks and the meat was a bit too thick. Otherwise, the taste was excellent. We explained our remarks to the girl and we could hear her reporting our suggestions to the Italian chef who, we believe, will improve in our he future. We closed with a rather good fruit salad. If you look for a taste of Italy in Grenoble, this is the place to go, highly recommended!
