We had spent a long day travelling and were quite tired. We were happy when we got a table at this restaurant. The service could not...be faulted. The waiters were efficient. We decided on the fish and chip option. Big mistake! The fish was coated is a really thick batter which was greasy and the chips were soft and greasy. Very very disappointed at our first meal in Grenoble.

They also propose local typical dishes (ravioles au cepes) which should be tasted!. The foie gras is excellent and very well served. Short and pleasant wine list very reasonably priced (I recommend the...Vallee du Rhone section)!

Truit... read more A very reasonably priced plat du jour (which we didn't take) Lovely hamburgers with great meat, a fabulous angus steak with cep sauce and a real gratin... Truit'n'chips a good take on the British fish'n'chips with excellent home made chips a great béarnaise sauce. The...desert, we opted for the Café Gourmand with three supposedly small desserts (they were indeed generous portions) and very good crème brulé choux caramel and cream and chocolate mousse... Bursting at the seams we left. The service was excellent and the water was extremely congenial. I would recommend this restaurant as a place where food (although not gastronomic) is locally sourced and well made and very tasty... Prices are reasonable and the decor is whimsical but welcoming.

It's... read more Superb discovery of this restaurant, ideally located in the center of Grenoble. The dishes are reminiscent of those from restaurants of a few decades ago. It's refreshing to find real French cuisine, compared to the fast food that now dominates the scene. A big thumbs up for the decor and the level of service.
