We popped in for a beer and sat on the terrace overlooking the park. We watched the pétanque game in progress. It's a lovely place to sit and relax, with old trees, birdsong, and breathtaking views of the Bastille. The owner, Thierry, was taking part and was very pleasant when we had had a chat with him and his friends later. The following day as we strolled past the street entrance, Thierry spotted us, and invited us in for a drink and another nice chat. We were so taken with the place we booked for an evening meal the following day. The restaurant was busy, but we were treated royally with a welcome drink, and chose from the extensive menu. The food was excellent, the service impeccable and the chef even came out to ensure everything was ok. We stayed on after our meal for further drinks with Thierry, his staff and friends, enjoying a fabulous evening. We can't recommend L'Etage highly enough. If you want an unforgettable experience when in Grenoble make sure you visit here! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60
Friendly and smiling welcome, hearty and fresh salad, bistro atmosphere of friends, coffee offered for fidelisation. Perfect for a break to fast a day of work. I recommend!

We went there with a friend to drink a drink, although the waiters were rather nice, I was disappointed to pay 8,50 euros (so full price) a fake yellow lemon mojito... yes... Already it is expensive the glass of mojito but then for a pseudo mojito... they could at least have made me a price with this quality there Moreover, the cash ticket is not at all representative of the consumption. I won't go back
