We waited about 30 min and the waiter acted like we were invisible! Nobody came to ask what we wanted to drink. Only 10 clients, not much, why they did that??? Or because we are Asians??? I don't think Asian clients should come here, discrimination!

We we... read more Next to Galeries de la Fayette, this bar/restaurant is located next to another 5 on the square, making it seem like a tourist trap but filled with locals. We were surprised to find almost every restaurant in Grenoble closed for lunchtime on a Sunday in August, luckily Le Sporting was open. Their outside terrace is covered, thereby providing shelter from the sun, and has water spraying from the ceiling every couple of minutes. It takes a second to get used to, but after a while you start to enjoy the refreshment it provides. Le Sporting has quite an extensive menu, but the waiter recommended the ravioli not the most typical French dish of which they had several varieties on the menu. Service was friendly and professional. Staff spoke English.
