And the cake (after having tasted several) is exceptional. The puff pastry is perfect and the frangipane is generous and melting. I absolutely don't understand the previous opinion. Of course it’s a little expensive but that’s the price of success and quality. You can place your order on the telephone answering machine for the next day. After 9 a.m., and this demonstrates their success, there are almost no pastries left.

The best are the famous bear paws (homemade compote)... nothing more comforting when leaving the evening at dawn. I can't talk about the pastries and chocolates because I've never tried them. The welcome and service are perfect.

Actually we could not compare with other bakeries in Grenoble but i can testify they were crispy, big and tasty enough ! Go get them before 9:00AM or they'll be all sold. We ate them in a lovely café shop just on the other side of the street : Cafés Raymond. The friendly merchant made our day !
