Great food, good menu, perfectly cooked steak. My only issue is the steaks only come with vegetables without the option of changing to a salad.Good service the convenient option of ordering from your table with your phone View all feedback.
What Simon Segers doesn't like about The Greenwood:
Tribute night and the food was awful. My OH had chicken schnitzel and it was covered in oil and inedible. I had the chorizo and seafood linguini. Very very ordinary. No evidence of chorizo just some sort of sausage with pieces of fish and prawns. Very bland and boring. Won't be having it again. This is our local and normally we have had excellent food here but will be thinking twice about going again which is a shame... View all feedback.
This is a fantastic pub with high-quality meals. only in the last months I returned here and was very happy that I had it. the decor is freshly clean and pleasant. the employees are friendly and easy to treat and always. ready to support or clean their table. the second time that our group had visited numerous menu points and everything was excellent. they also offer discount drinks, which is a great incentive for customers. I chose a 150 lashes pale ale for $8. all credits are due to management and personal. keep them the great work and service. we will continue to return.
Meal was good, busy, so siting very cramped, not respond to email contact booking, service was in order.
Eating here was really nice, we all had something different and we all enjoyed it, which is rare in these days! the steaks for a “steakhouse” were not the best cooked, although the medium was made better and the well made more medium so...not sure whether it was just a mix in the kitchen. they were still delicious the personal was beautiful and very helpful, it was our waitress first day and she smashed it! the dessert are beautiful and much to choose from the restaurant itself was really nice and clean, good ambiente. prices were very reasonable I would return definitiw
The week for lunch with friends booked. at the arrival I ordered a drink as I waited for my friends to show up, the drink has not arrived. I was still waiting for it after my friends showed up and sat with their drinks they had ordered at the bar. I said that the staff was still waiting for my drink, and they said that the bar was busy. I waited 5 minutes and then, because there was no one in the bar, I decided to talk to the bar staff about my missing drink. when I approached, I saw a drink, sat on a tablet. eishmelt, waited for personal (in personal conversation) to deliver it. my irritation was interrupted when I asked her to ask if that was actually my drink that I had ordered about 12 minutes ago (no exaggeration.) the murmured I'm sorry that it did little to use the annoying I felt, and then the quite common meal came. it wasn't all bad. the co-chair was attentive and charming, like a girl who ensured that we were served and emptied glasses. but eating was not good. in particular the beerbatter on my fish. it was tasteless and too thick and lumpy. I left half my fish on my teller. I got the opportunity to give feedback during the meal, as the staff at 2 locations asked if our meal times were satisfactory. I nodded because I didn't want to talk to my disappointment with the personal while at the table, as my friends seemed to be happy with their meals and I felt that it would feel comfortable if I complained. two of us ordered coffee at the end of the meal and I was at the ranch of the cancellation of the order as it came for so long. the midday rug was good and really over, so I could not see a reason for the uprising, but I am willing to accept that it could have been a reasonable excuse for the delay. that was my second lunch in the greenwood, 3 months apart. the first visit was also not grandiose, (steak very hard and table left unclear for the old,) so I don't think I'll return soon.
The room and staff here are very good but the food is still very average. Such a shame as the manager Josh is doing a great job but the kitchen lets the place down. I suggest the chef goes to other venues to see how...high their standard is with places like the Kingsway Tavern not far away and always packed
