Love this place. Unpretentious little gem...little being the operative word. Share a table, sit and watch the artists at work. Friendly, fabulous and great prices. Our go-to place to satisfy a bento /ramen / miso hankering. Cheapest yummiest sushi around. They even have a loyalty card View all feedback.
What Debbie Y doesn't like about Shou Japanese Kichen:
Long waiting time for average food. Grumpy staff and no where to stand and wait for your order. Seems to me if you walk in off the street with no reservation or order Uber eats ..... service is much faster than if you walk in and place a take away order. Won’t be returning View all feedback.
One of the best and most authentic Japanese food you’ll find in Perth. It is a very small restaurant and only limited seatings. They do take reservations and this place is always so busy with dine-in, takeaway and UberEats… where there’s the crowd, you can bet the food won’t be disappointing. Every meal we’ve ever ordered are always of fresh quality and definitely cannot miss out on a fresh plate of sashimi which is reasonably priced compared to other Japanese restaurants in Perth. So far we’ve only found the tempura dipping sauce to be a bit too sweet but everything else has been superb. This is our usual go to place when we feel like authentic Japanese meals close to home. とてもおいしいんですよ
The food at this restaurant is outstanding. I ordered the hot and spicy noodle soup, and it was absolutely delicious. We also shared a large portion of sashimi, which was very generous. I highly recommend this place.
Dropped in for a takeaway for a random Thursday lunch. The place almost had a line out the door which is an excellent indication of fresh and good sushi. Very small and out of the way venue but the menu is extensive with everything from ramen to sashimi and japanese curry to bento boxes. I would highly recommend to someone with a sushi craving. I also loved and would recommend the Beef Tataki.
I don’t do many reviews, but this one of those places that really deserves a mention. We moved to within walking distance of this place a year ago. We walk to the Greenwood for a couple of beers, then round the corner to Shou. We really look forward to our (about) once a month visit my wife and I. What can I say? We have tried most things here and really can’t complain about anything. The Agadashi tofu is probably my favourite dish, and mains boxes are great value (and quality). If I had to pick a fault, it would be that a lot if things are deep fried.....but......that’s how it is. Certainly not a worry if it’s a once a month treat. So happy to have found this place.
A great little shop that I had never heard of until it was recommended by a friend. The teriyaki chicken bento box was a generous serving for the price and tasted great. I’ll be coming back!
