Better than normal pub fair. Great steak. Great service. Then we went into the bar for one drink. Atmosphere and service was great. I think the barman is psychic. New our drinks before I ordered. Many drinks later we left happy that we had been there. Treated as locals. View all feedback.

Need a reasonably cheap and filling feed? Then this bistro will tick the box. We're not talking about al a carte fine dining: this is pub counter food with big serves. Burgers with chips and salad; fish (crumbed or grilled) with chips and salad; steak or schnitzel with chips and salad: I think you get the deal. Old style pub Excellent dinner, local Blackfish is great. Some outdoor seating. Historic photos on the wall. Friendly service.
If you are looking for the original pub feel this place is it. But hurry it won't be for long, they will be knock down rebuilding very soon. The food is plentiful and the original style chips are good (Im not normally a fan of the old style chips but these ones hit differently) Even the kids steak was a big serve. And the beer was still cheap (cheaper than city prices that is) $15 for 2 drinks instead of the $20 for one drink I see around the city. Keep the good work guys, I knew the kitchen had issues tonight but you still did a cracking job and the staff were brilliant.
Perfectly cooked sirloin, great buttered chicken, excellent beef burger, and delicious schnitty. A great place for a good pub feed.
Lovely staff! There was a wait for our food, a combination of busy Friday night and some technical glitches. The staff brought out free garlic bread for my kids, and the chef came and apologised. Food was really good pub grub, old school burgers with beetroot, and proper hot chips. Actually, some of the best hot chips I've had in ages. Drinks and food were very reasonably priced, we are here quite regularly and I think we've found our new favourite spot.
We had takeaway pizza from here. I can honestly say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. I had a Veggie Deluxe and added ham. Perfect. The BBQ Chicken was also great. Highly recommended.
