While the service received mixed reviews, the food was generally well-loved, with many diners enjoying the variety and flavors of the dishes. The set menus were praised for their value, and the dining atmosphere was deemed pleasant. Special mention goes to the wagyu steak and the caramel mud cake. Overall, Stonegrill is recommended for those looking for a different and interactive dining experience.
We came here on a Saturday night, so it was expected that it would be busy. but almost 40 minutes to wait for our main, was a part. the menu had a good rich and was all reasonable prices. the waiting staff was friendly and took the time to explain how to use the stonegrill. would have come back definitiw, but probably not a Saturday night.
The barramundi was fresh, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. the eye fillet was a beautiful cut and accompanied by fresh vegetables. the sticky date pudding was soft and damp and melted in the mouth.
Came to Stonegrill on my little getaway to Huskisson. Looks very fancy when you walk in, and thankfully came in early enough to get a table for 9 people (our fault for not making a booking). Stonegrill is a unique restaurant where you cook your own meal on a stone (as the name suggests). Our entire table ordered the 38$ special, which consists of an entree, main and dessert. For my entree I ordered the calamari rings, main I ordered the chicken breast with a pasta salad (pasta salad was amazing), and dessert I ordered the caramel mud cake. All dishes were delicious and filling, and definitely worth the 38$. All in all I recommend visiting Stonegrill (there are various locations in...read more
My partner and I came here for dinner last night. We ordered the calamari rings, soft shell crab and the surf and turf. Food overall was good however the service was a little lacking. After finishing the entree the waitress took away both our steak knives (our mistake for using them) but did not replace them for the main. We asked (which BTW took quite awhile to get their attention) for replacement knives for which we were given only one when there were two people eating! I found that to be quite passive aggressive/severely inattentive, hence why service was 2/5. The idea of cooking on stone grill is very interesting though. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it. However, I...read more
Excuse the rant, but this feedback is well worth the read, if you are a massive foodie like my husband and I. We had been looking forward to eating at this restaurant for quite some time. However, we were not able to get past the terrible service. Firstly, there were tables with people seated both indoors and outdoors, with about 3/4 of the restaurant being empty. The waitress that seated us, appeared to know what she was doing, however she proved us wrong later on. We decided on what we were going to have before attending the restaurant and were ready to order, however this too was a challenge, as again the waitress that seated us was far more busy, (not sure what they were talking...read more
