I've been dining at this wonderful restaurant for over three years, and everything is fantastic. Whenever I'm in town, I often find myself having dinner there every night. The bar has a great, laid-back atmosphere. I'm not sure if the same staff is still around, but it's definitely worth a visit! View all feedback.
What Fran L dislikes about Flatlanders:
Unfortunately, the restaurant has definitely closed its doors. It’s disheartening to see the best fried chicken in the Northwoods go. I've heard they might have a food trailer, so stay tuned for updates! View all feedback.

Unfortunately, Flatlanders has closed down for good. It was one of our regular go-to spots, known for its amazing broasted chicken and other classic dishes. Now, the space has been taken over by a peculiar vegetarian juice bar, which seems out of place in a town where sports enthusiasts come from all over the country to hunt and fish.
Very friendly. Chicken was moist inside and typical supermarket coating and flavor outside. A small, ketchup size, container of coleslaw was 2.99. That was good, but it was one bite.
It's fantastic! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is amazing too. They even sell T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts with cute sayings. We make it a point to visit every year when we're in Greenville. I highly recommend it to everyone!!
This is a family-style restaurant where everyone sits at one long table, and the food was absolutely delicious.

Unfortunately, Flatlanders is no longer in business. It used to be a regular stop for their fantastic boiled chicken and other dishes. Now it has turned into a peculiar vegetarian juice bar in a city known for attracting athletes from all over the country who come to hunt and fish.
Family tradition to go here every summer. Beautiful local joint with a large menu for a small place. Try the curly chicken, you won't regret it. Come to dinner at 4:00 or else you could wait.
Great food! I had the Burger Steak and my wife had the Schellsandwich. They had several beers on tap, a decent selection of wine and more beer in the bottle. Our server was very friendly, competent and fast! The food was cooked on request and very tasty. Beautiful atmosphere and perfect for families, couples or small groups. I would definitely recommend you to give them an attempt. Good value, not expensive at all.
The Broasted Chicken is absolutely sublime. Worth a trek to Greenville on its own merits.
The owners and wait staff are very friendly and accomodating. The cocktails are great. A nice selection of beer. The food portions are generous and service piping hot. Flatlanders is my favorite place to dine be it lunch or dinner. If you go you must try the Broasted chicken. You will not go away hungry.
