Eating is great and servings are huge. Your ice cream is homemade and its amazing. Owner was great and made sure we enjoyed our food. Absolutely.

This is the best smoked meat you will ever eat. The owner takes so much pride in what he does. I drive 2hours to eat here. It's a clean,freshly made and a great value. The only negative is the new system to order you food. I really have a hard time with it. The staff under no circumstances will take your order. I mean even if your the only one there. I loved the personal touch that you got before the new system. But,unfortunately the owner said that that this is just the way it is. He is such a kind and caring person it hurt my heart to see this change. I won't drive 2 hours again to feel like I am in a chain restaurant. I wish him and his wonderful food much success.

Stopped in at the recommendation of the locals, glad I did. Kiddo had the pulled pork sandwich, I had the Atomic Pony, we both loved every bite. Great value for the amount of food you get and it's tasty to boot! I loved the Pony, nachos but better: pulled pork layered with kettle chips and BBQ sauce, topped with shredded cheddar. The Atomic has just the right amount of heat, the pork was sweet and moist, and the cheese married well with the jalapenos. I'll make a point of visiting whenever I'm coming through. Great vibes. Cool owner.

That smell! As soon as you open the door that smokey smell hits you...I knew I was in for some good food I wasn't wrong. The Runaway Carriage is so filling! I've never had a potato so big. It was loaded with pulled pork, cheese, baked beans sauce. The smoked potato was cooked through to perfection, the pork was so tasty. Hubs had ribs slaw...oh, my, fall off the bone goodness! The dry rub mixed with something that I swear makes them a little like candied ribs. Order at the counter, find a seat (inside or out) they bring the food to you. Service was excellent. I certainly felt appreciated for being there. Very recommended!
