What Jeff So doesn't like about The Yesterday Cafe:
My family and I were at Lake Oconee/Greensboro area for 5 nights and tried number of local restaurants. My rating is based on the restaurants we tried in the area. Follow me to see my other reviews. This was the one restaurant in the area that we wanted to try from everything that I read about. We felt it was a bit over hyped. Big green beans and potatoes! Famous buttermilk cake is the best! Fast and friendly service! My waitress Nay was great!!! Very recommended!

What a nice surprise. Unexpected lunch and this restaurant was nearby. We had land fried steak and Hamburg steak with onions. Sweet tea is the best! The Squash-Casserole was not our favorite, but this is just our personal taste. Also lubricated potatoes with bacon were very good. Definitely there!
Service was excellent. Chicken fried steak best I ever had, not greasy or overly breaded and the brown gravy was delicious. The buttermilk pie was off the charts good. I can’t wait until I come through town again!!!
