What User doesn't like about Taco Mama:
I had hoped that this place would be a vegan-friendly option in Greensboro, but I was disappointed. They use sour cream in their guacamole, which means that even the "Tree Hugger" burrito isn't vegan. After reading other reviews, I expected at least some rice options, but they don't even have that for vegans. The staff also seemed uninformed about what options were available to me. Great business. Had a small problem the last time I was there but nothing notable and they went out of their way to fix it. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are as well. Would recommend to friendsFood: 5/5
Food is very bland, the employee's are great and the atmosphere is great. I ordered the marinated chicken tacos. I'm not sure what they marinate it in but the flavor was very plain. My wife ordered the steak tacos, again just cooked chunks of flank steak. Very little flavor. This place has so much more to offer, they just need to get into the flavor game.
Had a long line when we arrived which moved very quick, the food came out very fast and each of the 3 tacos I got came out loaded and everything tasted very fresh. Also had the watermelon margarita and was incredible!Food: 5/5
Placed order and food arrived as guest and I arrived at the table. Nobody ever approached tavle to check up on us. Nobody greeted us as we entered. Other than that everything was wonderful. Employees stayed busy. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Business was steady and moderate. I would go again.Food: 5/5
This place is awesome! Went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I ordered the taco basket (ahi tuna, mama's chorizo) with a side of guacamole. This is THE BEST guacamole I have had at a restaurant, and I am very particular about my guac. It was smooth and has the perfect proportions of avocado, tomato, onion, cilantro, lime and salt. The chips were not too salty which is nice. The tacos were tasty and a good portion. You can mix and match the tacos too. I also ordered a margarita. The Mercedes to be exact. My husband got the skinny margarita. Both were amazing! Perfectly made. The food came out quickly and the wait staff very friendly. The place is very nicely decorated inside the restaurant. I feel like it is Cinco de Mayo all the time! Prices are fair given how much food is these days. I will definitely be back for more tacos and margaritas!
