What User doesn't like about Southern Roots:
Pretty good place. The food was fine overall. I never had an onion pie before so I gave it a go. I was pleased. The squash side dish was bland but it’s suppose to be a healthier Mac cheese alternative. I added salt pepper to it. I enjoyed the two condiments that came with the cornbread appetizer. The catfish was hot and tasty. I also had a well made dirty martini. I’d give it another try and order something else. View all feedback. What User likes about Southern Roots:
The ambiance is modern and chic, with the entrance located at the back of the building rather than off the main road. Like many restaurants in the area, parking can be a bit of a challenge. However, there is overflow parking available at the back, and the walk to the restaurant is just about a minute—though it might feel longer during peak evening hours.
