Green Ocean Asian Restaurant

Prompt service at least and prices are what you would expect, meal came with prawn crackers and a nice looking jug of cold water not a used bottle like most places but cobwebs on the window sill full of flies and other insects at table level right beside you are not inspiring and if you look up more cobwebs. No smiles or any light chitchat from staff just order and eat. We had steamed dimsims mini spring rolls with meat Garlic king prawns with vegs, the prawns themselves were delicious the veg quite hard. Sweet and Sour King prawns came with nothing but were okay though tougher to chew than the garlic prawns Combination fried rice small serve but was huge,it was a little dry and tasteless with hard peas. we also ordered two drinks which we had to go to a fridge and get ourselves. after the meal which we didnt eat all of it, were given some containers to take the rest home and the meal deal was $77

Have been to this restaurant many times and have always had great food here. (The satay sauce is delicious and I wish I had the recipe! Service is always efficient and friendly and the serving sizes are very generous. People should definitely consider trying this restaurant if they are looking to have a great meal.

I've been buying take aways from here for years.......the food was worth the trip. Tonight was sadly my last visit. After waiting 45 minutes for my order, I complained and asked to speak to the owner. What then happened was amazing. I got a serve from a little Chinese lady who basically told me the shut and wait....it was coming. I asked for a refund on my card as I upset.....I was refused. I asked for a refund from the till.....again, refused. Another lady then told me I had to wait as everything was cooked from fresh. As I said......years of return custom and this rubbish. Another lady who was next to me expressed her shock at the attitude and said the this was also unacceptable in her opinion. I won't be returning......can anyone recommend a good Chinese Take away in the region?

Had takeaway,friendly on the phone and on pick up. Food pretty good. Partner enjoyed his, so will try again.

I hadn't been to Green Ocean in nearly 2 years and decided to check if it was still a quality Asian restaurant. We ordered a sizzling combination platter and a beef chow mein with rice. The sizzling platter was delicious, but smaller in size compared to before. The chow mein was very tasty with plenty of fresh vegetables. When combined with the rice and freshly chopped chili in soy sauce, it made for a great dish with enough to satisfy two people. The service was prompt and friendly.
