I will be honest that this wasn't our first choice for breakfast we did enjoy our meals. We got our orders in quickly, got our drinks really fast and were lucky enough to get our food before the power went out in all of downtown. The only downside was that they offered grits but didn't have any. There is a sign that says they are short staffed and having went a little later in the morning that really did effect us. t... What Richard Hoeger doesn't like about Iron Skillet:
Expecting lunch, but told they weren't serving lunch today. Food wasn't good and then we find out they only accept cash. Mind you the sign is at the cash register. Skip this place.... View all feedback.
The personal is very rude and hating. we went to the restaurant at 11:15 a.m. and asked if they would eat lunch. we were hit with a hating attitude, and a no, she says it starts at 11, but it is when she is finished cooking the breakfast. there is no need to be rude for customers. in the last few years this restaurant really went down.
The breakfast is the best. family owned. I recommend cookies and gravy
It is a nice family-run restaurant. the menu is simple and eating is good! we had breakfast and it is quite exactly what they want when they want coffee, eggs, speck, pancakes, etc. they take cash and there is a cash machine in front of location. my child has become sick here (car sick, that is where we stopped eating) and instead being angry, they were really nice to him and helped us find. as a place treated children says a lot I think! go here and support them a local family restaurant.
The staff is very nice, with which is said we were there on a weekday morning, coffee was served cold, water was served in red solo sauces and eating was on chinet plates. another customer called the server to show her the error that crawled on her teller. only cash payments. the food was good. recommend the pancakes. so sad, because this was a favorite at the visit.
Incredible little diner tucked back off of Everett St. Every worker was so gracious! Food was great!! I had the biscuits and gravy. Wonderful portion sizes, priced well. Definitely recommend.
