Da Grub - GREENACRE

Miserable highway pub behind a car park. Big footprint but poky and poorly laid out. Poor drink range at pretty high prices. Cash only for the bistro. Not the worst I've seen but rubbed me the wrong way, so much worse than the Three Swallows up the road.

This is the way all pub food should be. Quick tasty and not over priced. Even the chef visits the tables to ensure food is good and everyone is happy. We now go there quite often, and the larger crowds show it is now very popular.

We have been going to the Palms Hotel bistro at Chullora for years. Always been ok, sometimes ordinary, and may changes of owners or management. But now, what a change. The pub its self has had a huge make over, and lots of spent on it. The new owners or lessees of the bistro, have done an amazing job of providing a massive menu, that is so different, and outstanding. They have lunch specials, that are fantastic (steak, parmy etc) and very quick to the table. Order at the bar is quick and easy, take a number and sit down. Access for all is excellent weather old or in a wheelchair. Every time we have been here, the food just seems to get better. I had the Mexican burger, and I have had burgers all over the world, but this is one of the best I have had. Outstanding job guys girls of Da Grub.
