In a town with multiple Mexican restaurants, this one stands out! Steadily building strong local loyalty! Try the Chile relleno. By the way the guy who wrote the snooty review was in a different restaurant. Mompirri is hardly off the beaten track it's right on the square on Main Street, busy U.S. 62 in Green Forest. Lemmond says he was in Alpena ... uh, duh! That's in Boone County! View all feedback.
What Gary Lemmonds doesn't like about Taqueria El Mompirri:
It's in a tiny town and somewhat off the beaten path. It wasn't busy (2 diners mid-day). Did not expect much and that's what I got. Even the name has changed, the signage does not match the internet info. Alpena is a dying town. View all feedback.
