I moved back to this area about two years ago from NYC. I was looking for a cool place to meet up w/ friends and I found this local place. I have been here a few times and it reminds me of a NYC bar. What Steve OTOOLE doesn't like about Red's Wine:
Went on a Saturday night. Like 5 people in there, plus bartender which makes 6. Parking is excellent as almost no cars on Walnut Street. So not saying it was bad. just about the most boring place. I feel bad even saying this because the place is so close to where I live in Fleming Island, and Red's is in Green Cove Springs. Will I go back, sure. but really won't be excited about it. I visited on a Saturday night and found the atmosphere to be quite dull, with just five other customers and the bartender, making a total of six people. Parking was easy since there were hardly any cars on Walnut Street. While my experience wasn't bad, I found it to be rather uneventful. I feel a bit guilty for saying this, especially since the restaurant is conveniently located near my home in Fleming Island, while Red's is in Green Cove Springs. Would I go back? Yes, but I can't say I'm particularly excited about it. However, I encourage you to give it a try—it might be the perfect spot for you!
