Reviews - Grayling
Reviews summary
Set in Grayling with a warm, classic-diner feel, this hometown spot is beloved for hearty breakfasts—fluffy pancakes and generous portions—and a surprisingly strong lunch lineup of burgers, tuna melts and standout pizzas. A rotating selection of craft and guest beers, growlers and friendly bartending complement pretzels, salads and family-style plates. Popular with locals, families and tour groups, it also handles quick catering orders. Service is generally attentive though busy periods can produce inconsistent wait and limited bar seating.

I absolutely loved the garlic pretzel! It was the best I've ever had. The quinoa salad was incredibly satisfying as well. The pizza crust was so fluffy and soft that it disappeared in no time. It's definitely worth stopping by if you're hungry! View all feedback.
What Sandra Gustafson dislikes about Grayling:
We were looking for lunch, and I ordered the cod, which came in two small pieces that were just average, accompanied by sweet potato tots that were similarly unimpressive. My husband ordered a decent hamburger. Overall, this place seems more suited for breakfast! View all feedback.

Tasty beer and fabulous pizza. Courteous and prompt waitstaff. Highly recommend.
The food is really good and sometimes don't come out correct but still AWSOME just like if ask to take off red pepper they forgot and time before took 3 times to get right but it's awesome and super happy it's in Greyling MI and expanding our community.
Server was great, beers were tasty, as was the food! This was a lunch stop, and my wife's first meal in Canada... ever. We especially loved the hand cut fries!
We absolutely love stopping at the Paddle Hard. Chad and his team take great care of us every time!

I have eaten here three times so far, and both the quantity and quality of the food were good. Moreover, the staff were efficient, attentive, and friendly — *excellent* customer service! While I am rarely in Grayling, I will definitely return to this restaurant when I'm in town.
Great food once again. Last time western omelet, this visit Coutry Fried steak special with eggs, toast and hashbrowns. They were very busy, but still had my food under 10 minutes.
This restaurant is a must-visit whenever I am in or near Grayling, Michigan. The Cinnamon Raisin French Toast is absolutely delicious, and the bacon...
What a delightful little diner with a warm and inviting staff! I tried the grilled chicken club, and I enjoyed every single bite. The chicken was flawlessly grilled, and the bread was fresh. Unlike many diners, it wasn't overly greasy. While you can expect the usual diner fare, it’s all prepared exceptionally well!
Lustrous Restaurant provides a delightful, classic diner ambiance that makes both locals and visitors feel at ease. Our server, Brenda, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The portion sizes are generous, guaranteeing that you'll leave feeling full. They offer a wide selection of breakfast staples, including pancakes, French toast, and more. The restaurant isn’t overly crowded, so service is prompt. It’s an excellent choice for a meal on your own or with family and friends. My personal favorite was the pancakes—fluffy and large, just how I like them. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

Each visit is a delightful experience. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the food is always tasty and fairly priced.
This diner offers everything you would expect for breakfast, but the quality is truly impressive. They know how to achieve perfectly crispy bacon, and it was delightfully thick as well! (Many places have trouble getting crispy bacon just right.) On the day of our visit, the special was pumpkin roll pancakes, and they were absolutely scrumptious—definitely worth the treat, even if they may have spiked my blood sugar a little! We are definitely excited to return!
I truly appreciated the bar seating; it reminded me of sweet childhood memories. The food was delivered promptly and was absolutely delicious, despite the restaurant being busy. The lively conversations surrounding me created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My waitress even ran after me when I inadvertently left my coat behind. All in all, it’s a wonderful place to eat!
Sharing its name with the town, Grayling was our go-to spot for brunch as we passed through, and we were happily impressed. We tried the Lumberjack Breakfast, Irish Omelette, Two Eggs with Corned Beef Hash and Toast, and French Toast. Everything was excellent, and the service was flawless. The restaurant’s vintage 20th-century décor and newspaper headlines add a unique charm to the atmosphere.
I’ve been dining here for decades. The restaurant got new owners about ten years ago, with only a few changes, but the food remains excellent. They don’t offer dinner hours. This is my favorite restaurant in Grayling! (They even have a stuffed Grayling fish mounted on the wall.)
