Rombos Restaurant - Gravenhurst

We have been here several times. Yes sometimes the service is a tad slow.. but this isn't the big city either! I have had the ribs twice... they are soooo good. We have never had a bad meal... ever! I love the staff.. it's like being in my Family's place.. friendly, witty and polite.

Let me start by stating that my family along with three other families were excited to enjoy family day long weekend in Gravenhurst. We attempted to order food from Rombos since they had a wide variety of food that would please everyone, including the kids. I called Rombos to place an order for delivery and everything seemed fine. Since it was a large order, they had to call me back with the total price and they stated that they had to take care of their dinning guests first, which I initially thought was rude to say to a customer ordering delivery. While waiting for their call, which took over half hour, I already calculated the cost and taxes from their online menu. To my surprise, when they called back the amount was well over $100 difference so I simply asked to go through the items to find out why there was such a large discrepancy. It was at this point that a lady with a very strong ascent came on the phone and began yelling at me. She began by screaming that she already started cooking the order and now I wanted to argue the price. Before I could explain anything, she yelled and stated that I am not getting anything from her and she hung up! I immediately called back and after some time a male answered the phone and I expressed my disgust. He gave me the impression that she was the manager or owner and simply stated “I can’t make her do your food and you’re not getting it” and then he stated “I need to get off the phone now.” To say that I was surprised is an understatement. Never will I order or go to this restaurant, just simply a rude business.

Arrived at this restaurant looking for breakfast apparently unnoticed by the staff. The restaurant wasn't very busy, the woman working there finally came to our table while she was talking on her phone and put some cutlery down for us. Came back several minutes later and gave us menus, then a few minutes later took our order. Food came about 15 minutes later. It was OK, but toast was stone cold....grrrrr. the bacon & eggs was alright. I can't see myself going back to this restaurant. Word of advice....when patrons come into your establishment, maybe greet them so they feel like they matter.

I had not been to this restaurant in 15 years, was very surprised and happy that their house special spaghetti was still available and still as wonderful. Earlier in the week we went there for burgers, and as advertised they were homemade and delicious. Large portions. Can't wait to try the pizza. Very old fashioned inside, we liked it.

Two great pizzas from this place. ..a tasty vegetarian thin crust pizza and a large combo delivered piping hot to the local brew pub! They smelled so great that everyone started ordering from there! Delicious pizza and great service!
