A gorgeous setting in Bavaria with beauty all around and plenty to see and do. Food on the resort was also very good. Breakfast has a plentiful choice of food and beverages. Dinner was superb along with the service. Service throught the resort was 5 star for sure. The gardens and landscaping around and within the resort bring a calmness and refreshing to you soul during your stay. A wonderful place to stay. I definitely plan on returning. We recently got together again and tasted one of the great wines at the bar. Staff is changeable. Sometimes the service is fantastic (Jose), on other days it can happen that cocktails taste different than usual or orders are forgotten (which can happen with frequent staff changes). Despite everything, the service should definitely live up to the prices. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the prices are on the upper limit. The wellness area is small, clean and, if you just want to do a bit of wellness for a day without using the room offer, definitely too expensive.

I'm always impressed when exceptionally good service, attention to detail, respect for resources, and outstanding cuisine come together. When a work environment is created where you can truly let go, focus on what's essential – and work suddenly feels like a privilege and a chance to relax. Since I'm regularly on the lookout for good locations for work meetings or development days, I want to give a heartfelt shout-out today: The Aachental, near Lake Chiemsee, is an absolutely special hotel. With warm and welcoming people, a beautiful location, fantastic service, and genuine dedication to what they do. And yes – this is unpaid advertising. But I believe we should definitely appreciate and support the exceptional things in this world.
