The food was terrible, and the staff wasn't very helpful either. This was the worst airport experience I've ever encountered.
I arrived at DFW today craving sushi and headed to Shin Sei in the D terminal. To my disappointment, I found out that they no longer serve sushi! Their menu has been reduced to only about five items, none of which include sushi. This means we’ve lost our only sushi option at DFW. I ended up having to take the train to Pappadeaux instead. It's really a letdown.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and the food tasted like it came straight from a microwave. It really felt like a waste of money.
The two stars are for the service even though the Asian employee only brought fork and spoon for the Beef Noodle Bowl, and I had to ask for the chopsticks. Ignored it since this was Dallas. But the real kicker was when I ordered the Beef Noodle bowl, the waitress replied that the beef would be about $5 extra. Hmmm. Strike one. Strike two the Noodle Bowl with Beef was not hot but lukewarm. Personally, I like my noodle soup hot. The presentation was pretty. Strike three the taste was bland. The beef was cut into cubes and had no flavor. I suppose it could have picked up some flavor in the soup, but alas, the soup was bland too. The restaurant is billed as pan Asian as in spanning many Asian (cuisines), but frankly based only on the Beef Noodle Bowl offering this is sans Asian flavor. The iced tea was good. Best to look elsewhere, but as my wife says, what were you expecting in DFW airport?
