The major drawback was that the owner was playing... read more The waitress was very efficient, running around to keep up with the service, while the owner managed the bar. The major drawback was that the owner was playing pool with his friends. I returned three months later, and the waitress had changed. She was still running around, the owner was still managing the bar, and the owner was nowhere to be seen. What a shame!

Dedicated to everyone I know about rubbery steak: The French always eat and serve meat this way. No need to shove half a steak in your mouth and chew it! Cut off a small piece and savor it, washing it down with water or wine, pairing it with potatoes or vegetables. Better yet, fry the cracklings in a hut.
