This is an a-la-carte alternative to the buffet style main restaurant. Some dishes are included for 'all inclusive ' guests and some require a supplement. Wine is similar; the house wine is included for AI guests but you can buy other wines. It is easily possible to have a nice, complete three course meal without adding anything to your final hotel bill. The chargeable menu items look very nice and are a reasonable price by UK standards. The staff are all excellent, polite and attentive. If you are staying at Ambre then I recommend that you book a table.
Great restaurant, excellent attitude of the staff. Especially the manager was a professional.
Just back from a 2 week holiday at the Ambre Hotel. The Dolce Vita Restaurant was a delight. Bright, light, well laid out and relaxed. The food was excellent with a good choice and with all staff very keen to please. We have a few allergies and likes/dislikes and these were always carefully attended to. Apart from the exceptional quality and presentation of the food (any top Italian restaurant would be proud of this), what makes a great meal is great service from genuinely customer focused staff with a good sense of humour and attention to detail. Dolce Vita offered all that. We had some really excellent food (and drink) served and prepared by wonderful people and particular thanks go to Vanessa (a great and humorous lady), Navine, Girish and Sanjiv. But we couldn’t leave our review without mentioning Kanden who is just fantastic and in our view has a great future in the hospitality industry, an exceptional young man. May they forever remember 111 and 231 !!
Beautiful Italian food in the middle of the Indian ocean, unexpected and fantastic
One of the best restaurant I have ever been. Not only the food is really fantastic, but also the service is excellent and the staff is so professional, especially the manager; Davissen, Manish and Kumar. They help you in everything (allergies... and make you feel like at home. Honestly, this restaurant would be in top 10 in any european city.
