Was Matthew Arnold at Fernando's a mag?
The food was just okay, and the service was also average. They weren't using the fryer and had run out of beans, which limited the options a bit. There were no complimentary chips for the table, either. However, the live music was fantastic! The whole atmosphere was lively, and everyone seemed to be having a great time! If you can, bring cash to bypass the credit card service fee. View all feedback.

What A I dislikes about Fernando's:
If you want the Fernando's experience at home you can! Because this food was not made from scratch. Buy bagged chips, canned beans, and shredded orange cheese, pop in the microwave and serve. Just like Fernando's! I won't be going back unless major changes are made. View all feedback.

Great food in a small restaurant on the main thoroughfare The GOOD: Food was delicious The hot salsa was truly hot and tongue-numbling.

I wanted to love it. A Mexican restaurant so close to home. So let me start with the good. The waitress was ok. Now with the negative.... Like another review said, seems like the main concern is the bar. They had a great time. I did too because I had great company. Neither of us found good flavor in either of our meals. The nachos are strange. They are like a thin pork rinds. They were salty, which I like, but most people wouldnt. There was no complimentary chips and salsa. 1st Mexican restaurant I've been to that didn't offer them. The ground beef on the loaded nachos I ordered, tasted like just that- ground beef. No onions, no seasonings (that we could taste, anyhow) and almost too strong for hamburger. Had us baffled. The white sauce (I forgot the name) my friend ordered was very bland. Didn't really have a taste. Like thick milk. Although the food wasn't disgusting, really, it was nowhere near good. By far it is my least favorite Mexican restaurant I've been to. Although our waitress was nice, I won't be back. (I say with sadness, not anger)
