Contribute FeedbackNestled in a charming locale, this diner has garnered mixed reviews from patrons. While some diners praise the menu's variety and reasonable prices—highlighting enjoyable burgers and delightful milkshakes—others express disappointment over the inconsistency in food quality. Issues such as cold, overcooked fries and bland chicken wraps overshadowed the otherwise positive dining experience for many. Though the service staff received accolades for their kindness and attentiveness, suggestions for improvement include enhancing food preparation consistency and ensuring cleanliness. Overall, while the diner offers delightful ice cream and generous portions, it seems to be in need of a refresh to meet diverse customer expectations.
The food at this restaurant was not up to par. I ordered a Swiss cheese burger with hand-cut fries, but the roll was cold and slightly stale, and the fries were overcooked, cold, and hard. The mozzarella cheese sticks with marinara sauce were okay. The chicken Caesar wrap had bland frozen chicken strips and iceberg lettuce, with the accompanying fries also overcooked, hard, and cold. The total bill came to $38.50 with 2 iced teas, plus a 15% tip. Despite being in the food industry for over 30 years, I found the tip to be overly generous, but I understood that the server was overwhelmed with little help. I believe the decline in quality was due to new ownership, who did not maintain the high standards of the previous owners. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant or recommending it to others.
We were pleasantly surprised when we stopped by this restaurant hoping for a good milkshake. To our delight, they not only offered soft serve shakes but also real milkshakes. We requested ours extra thick and it was absolutely delicious. The menu looks fantastic with plenty of reasonably priced choices. We can't wait to dine in and sample their reubens and chicken and dumplings.
This charming diner has a classic feel with a variety of contemporary options on the menu, including chicken wraps, wings, and hamburgers. The french fries are a must-try and there are plenty of flavors of ice cream available at the separate ice cream window. Keep in mind there is a $20 minimum on credit card purchases, which can be inconvenient for small orders without cash on hand, but there is an ATM inside with a possible surcharge. The crispy chicken burger with LTO and pickles is a personal favorite. Takeout orders can be placed over the phone, and the restaurant often features specials on social media. Suggestions for improvement include better consistency with call-in orders and burger preparation, a more convenient POS system for credit/debit transactions, and improved cleanliness in the takeout/ice cream area. Overall, I appreciate the effort to seek customer feedback and look forward to seeing improvements in the future. I will continue to follow and update this review!
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience today for lunch. We drove out of our way about a half hour and everything was better than expected including the friendly staff and crisp hand cut fries. The hand scooped ice cream was better than inphoenicia, and I loved the cannoli flavor. Treat yourself and try Sundaes!
Nice sized portions and decent prices. Lots of seating inside and out. Burgers were fairly good. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely very good. The ice cream was amazing.
