Westend Stories Cafe Eatery

In Brief: Roomy contemporary café with excellent food matched by excellent service. The Longer Story: Located only moments away from most inner city attractions with excellent parking nearby both on-street and in the adjacent “West End” parking building. The café is within the ground floor of a brand new building so everything is new and shiny. The décor uses soothing earthy tones and is modern. The café is quite large indoors and offers a range of seating from smaller 2-4 person tables, to larger round tables, to taller “leaner” type ones to breakfast bar type seating. There’s outdoor seating in the plaza of the newly developed complex and additionally indoors there’s a lobby/foyer/atrium area with intimate low height coffee table seating also available… in all, this is a truly amazing range of options for small or large groups. The café is open at 7am which is fantastic and there has already been discussion within my workplace team about choosing this venue when we next have reason for a team/group breakfast. Upon entering I was welcomed and the great level of customer service and attendance was maintained. The menu is contemporary and modern and prices appear comparable to similarly styled venues. I would actually go so far as to suggest, given the pricing, there’s a little bit of an extra zing/spark/flair to their menu when comparing to others. For example (looking at the menu as I type items such as “truffle hollandaise” or “whipped feta” are mouth-watering to read! As I expected (knowing the owners pedigree with “Dose Diner” and “Everyday Dose” the coffee is superb. A nice bean indeed. The overall impression is that Westend Stories is owned and operated by people with a genuine passion for what they do and they’ve hired staff who share that passion.

Great coffee and awesome fit-out. Really good service and nice cabinet food. Perfect location for any catch up.

Coffee is good. Lemon tart by itself is too sweet for my taste but goes well with the coffee’s bitterness. Matcha latte too milky. Fantastic service and ambiance.

The food here is incredible I had the loaded chicken waffles with bacon and it was super tasty! Also tried the full Westend which was yummy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are lovely and the coffee is great. Would recommend.
