I’ve been a member here for a long time and it’s been perfect much better than having a regular gym membership. Great place for casual climbing too with a good cafe for the chillers View all feedback.
What itsme doesn't like about Uprising:
Coming from overseas. Staff were friendly, routes were great. Not a bad experience at all, but everything is super grubby, everything, holds feel like they haven’t been cleaned for months, bathrooms were grubby, airflow needs a bit of TLC. Could use a step up for sure to bring it above average. View all feedback.
Uprising on 199 Ferry Road in Waltham, Christchurch (8011) provided a memorable experience for my first climbing adventure. The thrill of scaling the walls added an exciting dimension to the fun atmosphere of the venue. Looking forward to more climbing adventures there!
Pretty big with really cool and fun routes, having small gym as well as bar and rest area. Very nice and helpful staff. So far the best boulder in NZ
Cool bouldering hall, a lot of problems for beginners and advanced boulderers, nice training area and a small but well-equipped cafe. The staff were very friendly. I can recommend the hall with a clear conscience!
Best gym in ChCh with and amazing community and grate vibe.
Great room! This is the 5th gym I've been doing since I arrived in NZ, and finally a real gym! Plenty of space, although it was a bit crowded, the walls are easily accessible. Very cool and original openings, devers, flat, half-arch. Several training walls, room more than full! The staff is nice
