Speights Ale House - Governors Bay

Disappointing to discover that your home cooking is significantly superior to the mediocre steak meal served at a price that would suggest more.

Worst restaurant meals I have ever had. A chicken meal caused horrific food poisoning. The chicken was served cold and took a full day to recover from. I informed the ale house of their failings to which they refused to discuss via email. If you decide to go to the Ferrymead speights ale house be prepared to recieve substandard food and service from management (the waitress was great). Generous to a fault (as stated on their webpage) is a misleading phrase to associate with the Ferrymead Speights ale house. Two people had to go get pies afterwards because their portions were simply inadequate and far too small. They chose not to order something else from the restaurant because they didn 't want everyone else to wait an additional hour to get another small portion. After this experience, I won 't ever go back there.

Great place to catch up with mates, family or work mates over a few brews. Great food and fantastic staff

Found the bar maid to be very abrupt which was unfortunate as the lady that served our booth and the meal were flawless.

Had a very pleasant evening, staff very efficient quick smarted
