I had their Chongqing Spicy Noodles and loved them! The noodles were soft, chewy, and really delicate. The broth was really creamy — Sichuan sesame paste, the chilli oil was delicious and made the broth look gorgeous. There’s also some kind of seaweed in there, which gave it a delicate salty taste. They have alternative milks for their bubble teas, too! And the staff told me their Vegetarian Dumplings are the best in Christchurch, I didn’t get to check but I wouldn’t be surprised.
J-Bings is a creative medley of an eatery and a teahouse. The meals we had for dinner were super delicious and this was our first bing experience. Everything was very reasonably priced. Portions were huge. Staff were speedy and accomodating. We have no qualms whatsoever about recommending J-BINGS to anyone!
Had a lovely dinner there as always, although would be nice have the portion serve a bit more: Good for dinner though if you don't eat much.
My partner and I always want to explore food. We didn 't know what 'bings ' are and we gave it a try. It was like Pitapit but better. The crepe like crunchy egg wrap was so good to wrap around those delicious compact meaty stuff. Sauce and cheese compliment to each other with that crunchy chicken. On the other hand, their drinks are not as good as they look. We ordered brown mochi and Mango pomelo sago. Mango didn 't taste fresh and not sweet. Brown sugar was good well balanced sweetness for me. I liked the chewyness of mochi. Will come back and try different flavor.
I am a vegetarian but I don’t eat onion and garlic. I have tried Dan Dan noodles and Chongching noodles, both are super delicious to me. The waitress was so nice that she had patiently explained to me all the options I can have, which I really appreciated. HIghly recommended!
