Unfortunately, under new ownership, the food has changed. While still pleasant, it’s just not the same anymore and no longer worth traveling a long distance for. The food is okay but no longer lives up to its legendary reputation. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20

I also tried the speci... read more This was my first visit to Hong Kong Chef and I ordered a set meal for one from the old menu, which the staff handled without any issues. I also tried the special chow mein and salt and pepper squid. The meal was delicious with plenty of food, including a nicely cooked piece of chicken in the chicken and mushrooms dish. The squid was perfectly cooked, although next time I’ll request no chilies. I would definitely recommend this place for a tasty meal.
