Next time,... read more We made the mistake of deciding to take lunch at the upstairs restaurant of the Marche, instead of just grabbing a sandwich downstairs as previously. Next time, we'll jgrab a sandwich. a advise Advise fellow travellers to do the same. Otherwise, an ideal pit stop:...clean free toilets and a good shop.

The buffet is beau... read more We went there for salad plates and usually make a stop here on the highway because of the sunny terrace and fresh greens at the salad buffet. The buffet is beautifully decorated with bright colors. But if you take a closer look, the choice is...rather poor, although it was fresh and looked good. What you normally find in Swiss salad buffets was just not there: croutons, sprouts, various seeds, etc. The French dressing was watery. What a deception.

We went for our breakfast on the way in and had 2...eggs and three rashers cooked while we waited, picked up the freshest break rolls I have ever had and a great cup of coffee. The staff were friendly and some spoke English, the toilets were very clean, and the market downstairs was well stocked. We also stopped for a light dinner on the way home and my wife had a great steak cooked while she waited, all fresh quality food, service again excellent. It is a little pricey but not the expensive motorway rubbish we get in the UK. Well worth stopping for quality food and service.
