(Which does do good pizza... read more Tea Monkey was an excellent tea house in the North Shore run by a Tony, however it sold to Dominos and is now a pizza take away place. (Which does do good pizzas). So although this review is a bit late I must say it was an excellent place to gather your thoughts as it had a calming decor and ambience. Tony offered me some furniture when closing which was really nice of him. He was from South Africa and we wish him well in future projects. People did executive coaching meetungs there- thats how nice the place was.Charles R

They had a Saturday afternoon live jazz guitar for a few months which was really fantastic and added so much to the atmosphere. Will miss the teas but probably did not have enough to compete on the Gordon coffee scene.

Although this... read more Tee monkey was an excellent teahouse in the North Shore from a Tony, but it sold to Dominos and is now a pizza taken away. (Who does good pizzas). Although this review is somewhat late, I must say it was an excellent place to gather your thoughts as it had a soothing decoration and ambience. Tony offered me some furniture when closing, which was really nice of him. He was from South Africa and we wish him good projects in the future. One highlight was the live... read more It appears that this restaurant has closed down. Tea Monkey used to offer unique tea selections, but their menu was somewhat limited. One highlight was the live jazz guitar performance on Saturday afternoons, which added a fantastic atmosphere for a few months. While I will miss their teas, it's unlikely they could compete with the popular coffee spots in the area.
