Tea Monkey - GORDON

Tea Monkey was an excellent tea house in the North Shore run by a Tony, however it sold to Dominos and is now a pizza take away place. (Which does do good pizzas). So although this review is a bit late I must say it was an excellent place to gather your thoughts as it had a calming decor and ambience. Tony offered me some furniture when closing which was really nice of him. He was from South Africa and we wish him well in future projects. People did executive coaching meetungs there- thats how nice the place was.Charles R

This place appears to have closed unfortunately. Tea Monkey offered specialty teas but their food menu was limited. They had a Saturday afternoon live jazz guitar for a few months which was really fantastic and added so much to the atmosphere. Will miss the teas but probably did not have enough to compete on the Gordon coffee scene.

Slow service worse attitude. Not impressed with service or attitude and food match staff attitude so would not go back

This is my favourite cafe in Gordon: a great place to come either on your own or to meet up with friends. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed with a choice of lounge chairs or tables and chairs, depending on your mood! The tea is great, and the toasted sandwiches also very good. I understand they also do high tea but bookings are necessary.
