What a great country pub in North East Victoria. We went as a Group of 15 people and were comfortably seated with plenty of space around us. There was a beautiful fire to enhance the atmosphere. The meals very large, fresh ingredients used and very reasonably priced with not a long wait while we enjoyed a drink. Whilst there isnt much around this pub it is well worth the drive for meal. This is our local pub so we come here to eat quite regularly. When the new owners took over it had a pretty spectacular menu, which has now been pared down a bit to make it more manageable, but it's become a bit more 'country pub' than it used to be. A must-stop on the silo trail. Delicious lunches and delightful service from the staff and owners. This country pub is definitely one of the best I've visited.
Just finished a great meal and all of us are stuffed. What a great place to stop on the silo tour. Do yourself a favor.

Away from the big metropolis, little country towns still have the friendly ambiance that has typified the Australian way-of-life for the last years. Bought in some friends (refugees from Melbourne to see the silos and decided on lunch here. Had actually booked a couple...of days previously and even that was a wonderful experience to the extent that i wrote down the contacts name so I could thank her on the day. Chantelle She cheerfully greeted us on arrival and, after exchanging pleasantries, directed us to our table where a comprehensive Menu and Wine-list was displayed for each person. Everything available even though a weekday with few guests and what we ordered arrived quickly, was delicious and an ample amount for everyone. Stopped being just a lunch and became an enjoyable experience. Repeated thanks for all of the staff particularly the blonde basketballer.
We decided to detour from our drive to Bright, to follow the Benalla Silo Art Trail...(wow! Breathtaking By lunchtime we were in Goorambat, feeling a little peckish. We turned around from admiring the Winking Owl...and there, across the road, stood a very atttractive Railway Hotel!...We decided to check it out....what a wonderful added bonus to our already amazing morning....a very well maintained country pub with a great oldtime but updated atmosphere...and the meal was reasonably priced and superb, all presented in personable way by the son of the House....and local footy hero! Fantastic....we wish you well.
