Hide's Bakery - Benalla

This is my first time ever giving a negative review publicly and I feel it's necessary and merited, regarding the incredibly poor customer service and unnecessary attitude from the manager. I've went for breakfast with friends and ordered scrambled eggs and toast during a relatively...quiet time of the morning. After waiting over minutes I inquired with staff , The Manager then informed me that they never wrote down my order, (although I'd payed) she checked with the chef. minutes later no update so I inquired again, she said I would be put to the back of the order list and would have to wait as they are now really busy or I could have my money back! One week prior to this I was left waiting minutes for a smoothy until I inquired and they had forgotten about that also. the worst service I've received anywhere in the world!

Wonderful bakery, full of history. My pie was one of the best I’ve had, and the sausage rolls were delicious. Great place for a quick lunch at a reasonable price.

If you want your order to be confirmed times just to have them forget your order completely then Hides Bakery is what you are looking for.... warm coffee cold sausage roll... I should have gone to McDonald's...

Great history at this bakery we stopped for lunch and a coffee pie and a tart was very nice coffee was okay

Very nice bakery and apparently has been for many years. huge selection of food available and large customer service. very popular place on the main street in the center of benalla. beautiful old ovens in the main room and many fascinating photos and maps on the walls.
